Bar Consumi Pelago

The Consumi Family has resided in this place for over 500 years, with a history dating back to 1820, when Pietro Consumi opened one of the first inns in the village. Since then, the family has continued to invest in the establishment, leading to the purchase of the land where the current hotel and restaurant stand, acquired in 1972 by Angiolino and Sergio Consumi. In 1990, the restaurant was closed to make way for a patisserie, a bar, and an indoor area, perfect for enjoying a snack when the weather doesn’t allow for basking in the sun on the outdoor terrace. Today, Bar Consumi continues to be a landmark for locals and tourists alike, seeking a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Our Schiacciate

Il Bar Consumi is the perfect place to savour the authentic speciality of Consuma: the schiacciata! This delicious treat is traditionally served with a simple drizzle of olive oil, but it soon gives way to variations with delectable mushrooms and cured meats. However, the highlight of a snack at Consumi is undoubtedly the Burrata schiacciata, featuring cooked ham, mushrooms, truffle, and many other gourmet flavours such as pumpkin, sausage and mushrooms, or pancetta, potatoes, and saffron!
